Cindi Carey
Owner | Level 4 Stylist
- What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
- My mom was a hairstylist and I was raised in a house where hair was always happening. I starting cutting when I was in high school where I was an Art Major. The two passions came together in cosmetology school and I have never looked back.
- What types of services do you specialize in or love doing most?
Color of every kind. Starting in the industry during the punk era, I was all about vivid hair. I rocked a fuchsia Mohawk back then. I love blonding and anything red!! Short pixie cuts are my specialty . I still love the glam of a wedding and enjoy traveling onsite for the big day
- How would you describe your approach behind the chair?
I try very hard to see every client as an individual- to really listen and give them the best look that will fit their lifestyle. I love to educate my client to make sure they can reproduce the style we choose. I want every person that sits in my chair to feel heard, cared about and remembered when they walk back in.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of the salon?
I am a snowboarder, a paddle boarder, a gardener, a decorator, a mom of three sons and two dogs. I love all animals but horses and alpacas are my fav. You can find me at a vintage fair searching for something to repurpose and I am obsessed with tile. Power tools and sawdust make me smile.
- What’s one fun fact or something most people don’t know about you?
- I used to drive a Harley and I sport a hummingbird and flower tattoo
