Alison Bouzan
Level 1 Stylist | Esthetician
- What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
After spending a year studying Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I quickly realized that path wasn’t for me. I’ve always enjoyed doing my friends hair and makeup, and tossed up the idea of going to Esthetician school. After graduating from Elizabeth Grady School of Eesthetics in 2023, I landed a job working in a hair salon as their Esthetician. My love of Esthetics has never diminished, and flourished my love for hair styling! I am so lucky to have found my passion, and incorporate my knowledge of both Esthetics and Cosmetology into my career!
- What types of services do you specialize in or love doing most?
- I enjoy color corrections, all types of haircuts, eyebrow shaping, acne facials, and facial massages! I have yet to specialize in a specific service, I’m so young in this business I just say yes to everything and enjoy it all!
- How would you describe your approach behind the chair?
- When my client sits in my chair, or lays in my bed, I want them to feel at peace. I want my clients to know they are in a safe place, free from judgment, and can be themselves. I love to be goofy and silly, but I’ll also respect my client if they prefer a silent appointment. Consultations are so important, and communication is the foundation to a great appointment.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of the salon?
- Outside of the Salon you can find me taking my dog Luna for a walk, and hanging out with my family and friends. I love fashion and enjoy shopping at Tjmaxx and antique/vintage shops. My mom and I enjoy drinking tea and coffee and watching movies. I’m always listening to music or an audio book. I love the outdoors, in the summer I’ll be at the beach or hiking. I also have lots of tattoos and piercings and I love handmade jewelry!
- What’s one fun fact or something most people don’t know about you?
- My fun fact is that my favorite band of all time is the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I’ve seen them live 4 times! I’ve traveled to New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Beach to see them!
